Banana Fosters magic at Brennan’s in New Orleans

One of our favorite desserts is served at one of our favorite restaurants in New Orleans, Brennan’s.  This dessert was created in 1951 by Paul Blangé at Brennan’s Restaurant. It was named for Richard Foster, a friend of Owen Brennan who was then New Orleans Crime Commission chairman. The preparation for the bananas foster is turned into a table side production.  Eating this tasty treat is just as anticipated as watching the towering flame.
