Hiking
I have come here in East Java to experience a midnight hike to the volcanic crater of Kawah Ijen and watch the blue fire created by the spontaneous combustion of subterranean gases and toxic yellow smoke.
El Salvador, though compact in size, boasts a plethora of natural wonders waiting to be discovered. Among its treasures lies the breathtaking Tamanique waterfalls, nestled deep within a tropical forest, approximately 55 km from the international airport, 16 km from El Tunco (a renowned beach town), or 40 km from San Salvador, the capital city. The Tamanique waterfalls are a must-visit destination, but reaching this picturesque paradise requires some essential considerations.
Most people that visit Latin American countries, such as El Salvador and Guatemala, probably do so to see some volcanoes. Especially because there are so many of them, it may sometimes get a little overwhelming when it comes to deciding which ones to see.
Tofino is a funky surfer town on the West Coast that has earned its reputation as Canada's top adventure playground. With its sprawling beaches, wild inlets, and ancient rainforests, it's easy to see why Tofino has become such a popular destination.
Hiking in Scotland and discovering this strikingly beautiful country has become a dream for many hiking enthusiasts. There are plenty of hikes to choose from and no matter what difficulty, Scotland is always up for the challenge.

Located deep inside the Santa Ana Mountains in Orange County, the picturesque waterfall drops at a maximum elevation of 1,638 feet (500 meters) and can be reached by means of a very adventurous and demanding seven-mile return hike.
In the central part of Croatia, close to the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, lies the Plitvice National Park, one of Europe’s most famous and, by far the prettiest. This almost 300-square-foot area consists of a broad range of natural features, such as turquoise water, deep green forest surroundings, limestone canyons, and an impressive series of 16 cascading waterfalls.
Southern California has many hiking trails, but only a few are as famous as the trail heading towards the “Bridge to Nowhere.” This arch bridge is 120 feet high and 180 feet long, a majestic throne over the San Gabriel River.
Tucked in the rugged North Cascade Mountains near the Canadian border, is a town unreachable except by ferry, foot or flight. Remote as Stehekin is, the Washington town is a hub for nature lovers looking to hike, kayak, ride horses or fish in a national park whose glacier-tipped peaks are difficult to access.

Nepal is one of the few countries in the world which can feel unspoiled by the effects of tourism. Immense and majestic in every way, it is also here that you will find the infamous Mount Everest but make no mistake; this isolated pocket in the mountains is popular for more than just adventure tours and hiking expeditions.
The reason I wrote “Walking Israel” is that the view of Israel in the media is too narrow. So many people ask whether it is safe to visit Israel. Then a week after arriving they call and say, Wow, this is such a great place, I had no idea. That’s what I wanted to write about: that great place about which people have no idea.
