Finding Hope in Paradise: Visiting St. Benedict’s Day Nursery and Orphanage in St. Vincent

Aired on October 1, 2012

Even in the middle of paradise, you can find poverty. This was something we witnessed while traveling through St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting St. Benedict’s Day Nursery and Orphanage. Our visit was purposeful as we brought supplies to share with the children. Despite the poverty we saw, we also found hope, joy, and promise. The Sisters and children displayed kindness and humanity in its purest form, and the smiles and laughter we shared filled us with incredible joy.

St. Benedict’s relies mostly on community support and donations. Please enjoy this video and feel inspired to support the work of the lovely Sisters as they share God’s love.
