Nikko Landeros was a member of the 2014 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Roster.  He plays the position of defenceman. 2013-14

  • Helped Team USA to a silver medal at the 2013 International Paralympic Committee Ice Sledge World Championship in Goyang City, South Korea
  • Helped Team USA to a first-place finish at the December 2012 World Sledge Hockey Challenge in Calgary, Alta.
  • Skated in all five games, tallying a goal and an assist
  • Helped Team USA to a first-place finish at the January 2013 USA Hockey Sled Cup in Indian Trail, N.C.
  • Played in all four games, posting a power-play goal and two assists
  • Contributed to Team USA’s two wins in its three-game series vs. Canada February 2013 in Rockland, Ont.

2011-12

  • Helped Team USA to a gold medal at the 2012 International Paralympic Committee Ice Sledge World Championship in Hamar, Norway
  • Played in all five games, tallying two goals, including one game winner.
  • Helped Team USA to a second-place finish at the November 2011 World Sledge Hockey Challenge in Calgary, Alta.
  • Led Team USA with seven points (3-4) in five games
  • Played in all three games vs. Canada in February 2012 series held in Williamsville, N.Y.
  • Tallied a goal and the game winner in the shootout to help Team USA earn a 3-2 win in the first game

2010-11

  • Member of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team
  • Led Team USA with nine goals in 13 games
  • Helped Team USA to a third-place showing at the April 2011 World Sledge Hockey Challenge in London, Ont.
  • Led Team USA with seven goals in five games
  • Netted a hat trick in 5-4 loss to Norway in semifinal
  • Helped Team USA to a third-place finish at the March 2011 Japan Para Ice Sledge Hockey Championship in Nagano, Japan
  • Faced Canada once and Japan once in Three Nations Series in November 2010 in Rochester, N.Y.
  • Played in three-game series vs. Canada in October 2010 in Toronto, Ont.
  • Scored the game-winning shootout goal against Canada on Oct. 15, 2010, in the second game of a three-game exhibition series

2009-10

  • Member of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team
  • Member of the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team that won the gold medal at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.
  • Second among Team USA defensemen with three points (1-2) in five games
  • Tied for a team best with a plus-8 rating
  • Scored first career goal with Team USA on March 16, 2010, in a 6-0 win over Japan

  • Bilateral amputee after being hit by a car while changing a tire as a junior in high school

  • Member of the Colorado Avalanche Sled Hockey club team from 2008-13
  • Helped the Avalanche claim the inaugural USA Hockey Sled Hockey Tier II National Championship in 2011
  • Led the Avalanche with seven goals and eight points in three games at the 2011 USA Hockey Sled Classic, presented by the NHL
  • Helped the Avalanche capture the inaugural 2010 USA Hockey Sled Classic, presented by the NHL
  • Led the tournament with 15 goals and 20 points in five games
  • Attended Berthoud (Colo.) High School where he was a varsity wrestler and nose guard in football prior to his accident
